Feeling follow behaviour

In South Africa you will find a lot of people protesting in the street for service delivery and these are people who have been waiting patiently for seventeen years. They have been feeling the pain such that they couldn't handle it anymore. They have been discussing their plight in some corners for a long time ,some time attempt to engage government and then eventually decided to embark on a protest. If people feel that they are marginalised and no one cares listen to them , one will notice that a feeling will be portrayed by their behaviour. It is like when they are happy about something , that will also be portayed by their behaviour where they will show enthusiasim when such matter that make them happy is brought to their attention or discussed. So just a word of advise with regards to those who would want to hold public servant post gaurd against your reputation with the constituence you serve , becuase if you don't gauard aginst that it will be shown through a feeling that will follow behaviour. One will be chased away by the very same people who voted for him or her in the office

It is better to practice a little than talk a lot

Monday, May 9, 2011

Human being are catergorised as mamals and the only difference to other mamals is the fact that we can talk, we can also make sound. To some that makes them super than any other species on earth. Like any other mamals , human being also have to perform certain things for their survival. Some believe that due to the fact that they can talk , that simply makes everything possible for them and they rely heavely on talking and talking more than understanding that actions speaks louder than words.South Africa is one of those countries in the world where people believe in in the virse verssa of they saying that action speaks louders than words. In South Africa people belive that words speak louder than action.Take for exmple the issue of addressing the imbalances of our past, when one go and speak to the people on the ground about those issues that affect their lives, one notices that , they are very painfull and when speaking to those who are in power they will explain what they have put in papers to address the plight of these people. When one go down again on the ground to see whether he implementation of such policies has yielded any results to address the plight of the people , one notices nothing has been done and fifteen years down the line since 1994 ther is no change in the lives of the people.South Africans including politicians must understand that it is better to practice a little than talk a lot while people are suffering

How do you step from the top of a 100-foot pole?

We all have in our life time experienced fear of the unknown and in order to succeed it the only thing that we must overcome. It is not an easily thing to do, it is always a barrier in our progress. While we were still young our mother used to take the first in terms of overcoming the fear of the unknown, by letting us to something , the first couple of year at school , one is being assisted to go , but later only to realize that , one just do it voluntarily. This is the challenge that we are faced with in our lives, because all these challenges will have to be overcome by us.
Its like when one find him/herself in an is unhappy situation such work, or marriage. Before we take a decision to leave the work or ask for a divorce we think twice as to what will be the outcome of the intended action while at the same we don’t think about what kind of freedom/joy it might bring in our lives once we get rid of the situation we find ourselves into it.This also refers to position of power , when you hear that somebody is a director , one just fear the big word and get intimidate with such word and that fear is what hinders ones progress in terms of career development.
In a nutshell, people must not fear something which they do not know or tested, including death itself , in order to succeed one must have curiosity to test new things in life

About Me

My name is Siphiwo Freddie; I am employed by the City of Cape Town Municipality as a Professional Officer Public Participation Unit .At present I am a Public Relations Management student doing a BTech Degree at CPUT. I have been studying at CPUT since 2007 and then completed my National Diploma in 2009. I grew up in the Eastern, but now I live in Cape Town. I am married with two children, a boy who is ten years old and a girl of five. I am a person who is passionate about life and whatever challenge I come across in life I challenge it head-on, and the fact I challenge any barriers head on  that come my way , does not make a winner at all times. Sometimes I loose completely but loosing does not dampen my spirit in achieving or in my endeavors for success in life.
I believe that we all created in Gods image, and we all destined to succeed, it’s just that sometimes it becomes difficult for us as people to realize what we are good at  or where our success is.Some people die even without realising what they are good at, some realized it at an old age ,but still make it. The pains and the difficulties that we endure for our success sometimes it not a benefit to us, but for generations to come.
I would like to be seen by the public firstly as a professional, independent thinker, a man of good morals, but at the same time people must also acknowledge that I am also a human being, in other words I can also make mistakes.
Marketing of my Blog

NOT ALL WHO WANDER ARE LOST

When you leave you house or your office you always see those who are wandering whether it is in the mountains or in the corners of the street or anywhere for that matter, there shall always be people who are wandering. The fact that they are wandering does not mean they arelost , they are wandering for a number of reason, it can be for the purpose of finding a puropse in life , re-energise , strartegise or for number of reason. Some are wandering to conceptualise a business strategy which they intend to implement to take their business forward , some are employed to wander and that is how they make a living. What people are doing on the earth surfece, when trying to inteprete their action, one will find a number of reasons so we don't have to conclude that they are lost

we are what we do

We are what we do, this statement means that , the world around in which we and people around it perceive us the way we act.It is very important , that we conduct ourselves as people in a manner that does not ruin our reputation.Wherever you are an underdog in life ensure that conduct yourselves in disciplined manner. The values that we espouse to should be at all time what people see from , other than to advocacy for this tomorrow we are seen practising something different. Its like what most leaders are doing for example we are opposed to racism , but what they preaching is completely different to what they are practise in nutshe end up contradicting themselves  what is the impact of that in that leaders reputation. So it important that we don't fool ourselves and believe that vulnerable people can not analyse these thing and come to a conclusion. The saying  that first impression last long is also true , the first time people see you will be inscibed in their mind whether you we doing a good or bad thing , so watch your actions in everything you do, rather leave in their mind a good impression about yourself

Fish falling from the sky

It very rare in life to get a fish literally falling from the sky , but there are instances where sometime thing happen like a fish falling from the sky in life. Those with religious believe sometimes associted their luck with god. This reminds me when my mother passed way in 1979 of which I did not have anyone to cry to.Things happen like a fish falling from the sky.Rescued from poverty my Reverend Dlamini, I managed to study under operation humger up untill I completed my matric in 1987.I couldn't believe when I made it up to matric due to the  conditions which I grew up ,people out blue used to help me with everything that I required for my studies.
If you belive realy you will get fishes that fall from the sky, but that I happens with those who live their through faith, and developed an attitude of hope and that is what is hope is all about , I wish to appeal to those who are hopeless , who might get access to this blog to consider using it as their tool in the face of life that has a gravitational force and adversity, otherwise you won;t make it in this world

PR Design

Public Relation is management of perceiption through communication in internally and externall in order to get a favourable image of the organisation. So Pr should be design in the fashion , to accomodate in terms the management skills,  while at the same time the messages that are communicated to the public are also managed in integrated manner.Pr should be design to not only serve the exernal consumer but also internal consumers such as workers, sponsor. The lines of communication to these internal stakeholders must at all time be kept open. PR shoud be design in a manner that creates a dialogue between an organisation and the people who are influenced by business's daily operation , in that creating a favourable image for the organisation.
The diologue opened in terms of communication build trust , and once trust is attained , good reputation follows. It is not an easiy thing to do but once achieved , it enhance the company brand.

IF I WERE THE BOSS

Just to be honest , If I were a boss there would have been a number of victims in my company , becuase I would be Mr Take no nonsense. I would be a very quiete boss , who at all time scanns the environment, keep myself at all time up to date with trends , make my firm the best by bringing people of high degree of skills ,while creating an environment condusive to work. I have been in the workplace for a long time and the mistake that I have experience in the workplaces , bosses are sometimes misled by those who are at Human Resources.Incompetent people are getting jobs and those who sacrifice for the company are not rewared for their hard work. There is nothing I hate in the workplace more than discrimination, you will notice that people are claiming that , the company has made profit for a certain fanancial year say btween 65-70% profit and when one try to get information as to what is happening inside the business , almost a three qauter of the workforce/staff compliment is not happy, then I begging to question as to what would have been the profit margins of the company, if these people would have been happy or their concerns addressed and that is what most bosses seemed to be not understanding. I know that you can not please everybody, but companies must try as much as they can to engage their employees or create an environment that says "I am valued here for my little contribution".If I were the boss I wouldn't compromise my profit with people who have their hidden agenda by bringing politics in the work place. If I realise such games are played in my company , irrespective of how good is the employees, all of those irrespective of their colour , would have been out my company. Infact I would make it the policy of my company that discrimination in my campany is unlawful and spell it out clearely what will be the consequences of such actions should they happen in my company. I would also allow compettion but avoid an unhealth compettion which can be detrimental to the moral and performance of my employees.

My Big Dream

The saying that human being  plann their lives but for such planns to be implement rest with the creator. I agree with this statement becuase since I left school my big dream has been to a a manager or a chief executive officer and that never happened. It is even difficult to climb the ladder within the workplce where we work the worse part of it for us to teach people how to do the work. How do we then justifiy this and no one is able to give answers, some are claiming that external recruitment brings new people with new ideas, which I for dispute that with contempt it deserves. These things only happen when there is people with personal vendetors against their collegues.I think it is important to tell the world what is it that is your mind sometimes openness creates opportunities. I know that things in life do not happen as one wishes but as long as I am still alive I will persue my dream with the hope that one day it will be a sucess.I am also working towards the realisation of such a dream and I strongly believe that it is not an opportunity miss as long I am still ailve in this earth. The fact that I am not there as yet , present me with an opportunity to learn , develop the necessary skills so as to prepare me.

Valentines

Valentines is realy a nice way of teaching our children what is love. For us as people who grew up under patriachy families we realy don't know what is love and what is its colour. Todays young children will know what is its colour ,which is red and white as the attire of celebrating this day potrayed.I think , although in some cultures people do not see its relevance especially the old school of thought, for young generation its significance is potrayed by the values it inculcate to our young people. I checked today for my son not wear red and white clothes will some kind  a piece of his flesh.

I think this the governments must support it fully , not actually promoting nudity , but love and if one look in our society today nobody knows what is love , becuase where there is no love there is no peace. Some of the incident that take place in our society are aquated non existance of love , our indoctination etc. let us use everything in our disposal to ensure we build a society of love and caring, love another human being

Attitude

I think attitude sometimes plays an important role in our success. I have been in this world for a long time and I have learnt that ones sucess is dependant on your attitude because sometimes we look around us,sometimes without realising that and ended up having an attitude about people. The things we experienced in life , stories we heard and read about of all these thing makes us to shoot at anyone we come into contact with in this world .

When I was still young I used to think that I am the only person who has problem , only to realise when I attended a course in diversity management, that there are people who have bigger things tell compared to what you have and  you will be shocked to hear and realise that your problems are a minor to theirs. The mistake we that we make is to associate people with our experiences , or stories that we learnt about and that is what leads to developing an attitude.Do you know sometimes bucause of your attitude you can chased away a person who might one day take your life a higher level, due to our attitude we end up loosing a golden opportunity. This life is made up of people who made it a point they network themselves  and to succeed is to follow what public relations is all about of building relationships

Technology

I love technology too much , becuase it make life easiy. My problem is that I am trying as much as I can to  understand it and its diffucult for me learn to use it hundred percent. I know ceratin features , form me  to have a fancy phone is a waste of money in that whether it is the best in the world , all of those feature will not be used at all. For me techonolgy, being in posssession of a PC is to use for writting and nothing else .I use to see my children when they use my phone at home and wonder as to who is teaching all those things and in terms of using these featuresand  I think it has to do with exposere to it from a young.

Government must promote the use of technology in schools , it realy open the childrens mind in some instance they do need to be taught how to use it.I think in South Africa whether its Mud school in the rural areas of Transkei , Qwaqwa, all school by now should have a computer laboratory in our sixteen years of democracy.

Climate changes

Have you people experience the hot summer in Cape Town , what are we doing about it. Is our government doing something to change this situation. Our government can't  do anything if the biggest polluter such America , Chine etc are still refusing to fund programmes that can help change this situation. Look at the documentary called Inconvinient truth" there the whole thing about the effect of climate changes said. I am wondering as to whther the people of the world are aware about the dangers associated with these climate changes. The problem is that governments around the world seemed to reluctant to communicate proper messages to their people so that they can play  their little part.Algore , the former president of america has done his part in terms of bringing this to the attention of academis such as himself , the rest of the world is in a dark about the seriousness of this problem. I am now campaign to all those who lovers of the environment to hold their government to account in relation to whatever effect this problem of climate changes might have in our lives and thos who are in government as leaders whether they have left office must face the music, becuase this is raely gross human right violance of our people. Big conglomerates are the cause of this problem , have our people benefit in this destruction of planets , not all , Wake up do something and save our planet

I am

I am Siphiwo freddie , the six child out a family of eight children. The number of children is made up of four boys and four girls.I was born in Grahamstown in 1966. My family migrated to Peddie in 1970 , that is where I grew and started schooling until I completed matric in 1987.I am a product of Knight Marambana Commercial High School. After I matriculated in 1987, I worked at Fish River Sun Hotel and Casino as Senior Slots Attendant until 1990. I then left Fish River Sun and worked for Goldfieds of South Africa as clerk until 1992.I also left the Gold Fields of South Africa and in November 1993 , I was enmployed by the City Of Cape Town Council as clerk and then moved up the rank , until the position that I am holding to date a Professional Office.I am passionate about my work  and what I have studies at CPUT has really added value in terms of perfoming my job becuase whenever I have completed a project I always get a pat at the back from my boss which is something never experience before.

My background of a poor family with illiterate parent has thought lots of things , such as decsipline , confidence, assertiveness and I believe that I have turned that into my strength rather to be my weakness. I have been expose to all sort of things in life such as poverty and hardship to mention  from a young age and I can agree to a certain extent that , the hardship that I have experience has to a large degree has had a great  influence in my life. one thing that I vow to not let happen to my children is the hardship that I had to endure as child
